Strategic planning for local governments that are ready to stop planning and start doing.
Welcome to Stratalysts! I know the feeling. The organization spends thousands of dollars and a ton of time developing a strategic plan that sounds great on paper. But somehow, after it gets adopted...nothing much seems to happen.

I'm Shannon. After over twenty years working in local government, I founded Stratalysts because I was tired of seeing organizations spend a ton of time and money develop to a strategic plan that never went anywhere. As a former Finance Director and COO/CFO, I was particularly frustrated by what felt like a waste of resources. As a part of these organizations, I felt frustrated by the disconnect between vision and reality.
After I started paying attention, I noticed the problem is seldom a bad strategic plan. More often than not, it has everything to do with being able to translate strategic planning into operational doing. Just because you have a good strategic plan does not mean the organization is in a position to execute it. What looks good on paper can quickly fall apart when confronted with day-to-day realities.
I started Stratalysts to bridge the gap between vision and operations. How do you translate broad vision and goals into actions that people can take on daily/weekly/monthly basis? What do you need to consider along the way? How do you adapt in real-time as things change? I help local governments become strategic organizations...not just strategic planners.

I specialize in strategic planning...so why do we keep talking about prioritization? Isn't that just part of the strategic planning process? Well, kind of. Read about why I think prioritization is a critical, and often forgotten, step to strategic planning success.
If you're ready to cut through the noice and get sustainable planning results, let's talk.
